What did you do this past week?

Over the course of this past week, I mostly worked on recruiting practice and bashing out a lot of leetcode. Additionally, my partner and I started working on the Life project by setting up all of the files and reading the project details. I also attended class like usual and participated in cold calling over a topic I wasn’t too familiar with, so I was a little tripped up over answering some questions.

What’s in your way?

Nothing really too big is in my way as of yet, but I fear that this project, being the last one, will take up quite a bit of time over the course of this upcoming week.

What will you do next week?

Next week we will probably finish up the Life project and complete it relatively early. I also have a couple of interviews coming up which is a little daunting but hopefully they’ll go well.

If you read it, what did you think of The New Methodology?

I have not read it as of yet.

What was your experience of containers, container adapters, and Life? (this question will vary, week to week)

I thought that C++ containers we’re quite interesting especially when comparing to the containers we were taught in Java during CS314. I’ve seen simulations of life in the past which were really fascinating to see since such minute changes in the setup can really change the end result by quite a lot.

What made you happy this week?

Seeing my girlfriend made me pretty happy since she was on a trip for around a week.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip-of-the-week is just to remember to stay safe during these spiking cases of COVID-19, just because its been a really long since the start doesn’t mean we can just be complacent and forget to take safety precautions.
